The Certificate course in Screen Acting offers hands-on training
under the mentorship of Bollywood actor- director Nalin Singh.
Students learn acting techniques, expressions, voice modula
tion, body language, and character development. The program
also covers public speaking, TV anchoring, podcasting, and
news reading, helping learners gain confidence and clarity.
Students will also receive free still and video portfolios, and a
short film will be produced at the end of the session, giving
them an opportunity to act (terms and conditions apply).
The Certificate Course in Screen Acting is designed for beginners and aspiring performers who wish to learn the art, technique, and discipline of acting for films, television, OTT platforms, and digital media. The course focuses on performance-oriented training, helping learners develop confidence, emotional depth, and on-camera presence required for screen-based acting.
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of acting, including understanding scripts, memorising and preparing dialogues, and developing characters based on real-life and fictional personalities. The programme emphasizes practical learning through scene rehearsals, improvisation exercises, and performance-based activities that simulate real shooting environments. Learners are trained to understand the difference between theatre acting and camera acting, with special focus on subtle expressions, body language, eye contact, voice modulation, and emotional authenticity.
The course also covers acting for camera techniques, audition preparation, on-set etiquette, and essential film acting tips. Through observation, imagination-based exercises, and guided rehearsals, students learn how to evoke emotions naturally on screen. Script breakdown, character research, diction, speech clarity, and movement are integral components of the training.
